I feel so honoured to work with Sphenisco Conservation of the Humboldt Penguin, with the main focus to avoid the extinction of this wonderful species.
The desire to engage in a wildlife conservation activity was bubbling under the surface for a while. Not sure how to approach this project, I was talking to an acquaintance who introduced his engagement for this organisation. From this point on the idea went viral.
After brainstorming with the founder of the organisation Gabriele and Werner Knauf and the representative of the Landauer Zoo, biologist Dr. Christine Schubert we came up with a great idea, as we all believe, how we can generate money for this valuable organisation. I don’t want to say to much about it right now, just whispering that I have already started painting……
The SPHENISCO-Schutz des Humboldt-Pinguin e.V. was founded in my hometown Landau/Pfalz, Germany and supports this project with various conservation organisations and Zoos throughout Europe.
Together with Chilean activists and scientists they provide educational work to make them aware of this environmental problem.
There is an excellent website available, which explains all project details: Sphenisco.
